In an increasingly cashless society, credit cards have become an essential part of the lives of many people across the globe. In this article, we would be showing you the EastWest Dolce Vita Titanium Credit Card Benefits.
However, not all credit cards are created equal and there are plenty of factors to consider when choosing the best one for your lifestyle and financial goals.
This guide will provide everything you need to know about the EastWest Dolce Vita Titanium Credit Card, including how it works, what its benefits are, and whether or not it’s right for you.
2,500 Bonus Miles with $1,000 Spend
The EastWest dolce vita titanium credit card offers 2,500 bonus miles after you spend $1,000 in purchases on your new card within 90 days of opening your account.
That’s a $25 statement credit for things like travel, flights, hotels, and more! This is a great way to help you hit those important milestones in meeting minimum spending requirements.
It could also save you money by giving you free travel that would have otherwise cost you thousands of dollars out-of-pocket! And it doesn’t just stop there…
First Year Free for Global Entry or TSA Pre✓®
If you’re already a global traveler or are about to become one, then it’s likely that you know about Global Entry and TSA Pre✓®.
Both programs allow for shorter lines at airports and can be a major time-saver. With that in mind, I was thrilled when I learned that your EastWest dolce vita titanium credit card will cover either program if you apply within 90 days of account opening.
If you choose to enroll in Global Entry, which includes TSA Pre✓®, then your $100 enrollment fee will be covered by EastWest Bank; if you go with TSA Pre✓®, then it will refund your application fee up to $85.
Free Baggage on Every Trip
With EastWest, you get up to 2 free checked bags on every trip, a perk not available on most other credit cards.
Whether you’re traveling for business or pleasure, check bag fees can really add up over time. If you spend $10/day for a week in baggage fees alone—and that’s only if you fly three days—you’ll shell out $210 for something that doesn’t even show up on your credit card bill.
Baggage fees are ridiculous and we like how EastWest brings it back down to earth with its free bag offer.
EastWest also waives bag fees on every trip, so you won’t even see it in your credit card bill.
Airport Lounge Access
The EastWest Dolce Vita Titanium Credit Card offers VIP access at all major airports. Make use of free drinks, food, showers, and Wi-Fi while you wait for your flight.
This is a great perk if you travel frequently and it’s something that most credit cards don’t offer. This could be very valuable in helping you save money while you travel.
The card also offers trip delay coverage, which can be helpful if bad weather causes your flight to get delayed or canceled.
In that case, EastWest will reimburse you for any reasonable expenses such as meals and lodging incurred due to a delayed or canceled flight.
That’s another good benefit, especially if you find yourself stranded far from home because of a flight delay.
$100 Annual Airline Fee Credit
The EastWest Dolce Vita Titanium credit card offers a $100 annual airline fee credit, which is a benefit you will get for each of your first four years as a cardholder.
This means that if you have more than one airline credit card, you can take advantage of more than one airline fee credit per year.
This benefit allows you to choose from over 150 airlines when using it for any airline incidental purchases.
Airlines, along with hotels and car rental companies are all considered eligible expenses on your statement under the airline incidental section.
Be aware though that different airline may treat incidental fees differently.
Hotel Status at Starwood Preferred Guest Hotels & Resorts Worldwide
This card lets you get SPG gold status for as long as you have it, which has some great perks. The SPG program itself is awesome because you can use points from it on most airlines at a ratio of three points for every one mile.
Even better: if you transfer 20,000 points into miles and redeem them at 1.25 cents per point—as opposed to two cents when booking through Starwood—you can fly a round-trip coach anywhere in North America for 12,500 miles, or anywhere in Europe or Asia for 25,000 miles.
In addition, SPG gold status entitles you to a 25% bonus on points when you stay at Starwood hotels and a 50% bonus when staying at Marriott hotels.
The card also comes with Marriott Rewards Gold status and comes with access to thousands of airport lounges through Priority Pass Select.
It’s also just a really solid credit card, offering 2x points per dollar spent on everyday purchases and then giving 5x points per dollar spent at SPG or Marriott properties—making it one of the best hotel cards out there right now. If you love hotels and want some extra perks, too, it’s an awesome choice.
25% back on United Purchases
That’s right, you’ll get 25% back on every United purchase you make when using your EastWest dolce vita titanium credit card.
This is a huge perk for business travelers and frequent flyers, especially since many companies (and people) are trying to reduce their spending on flights.
If you normally spend a lot of money with United Airlines, don’t leave home without your EastWest card! The one downside of these cards is that they charge a $400 annual fee, but if you’re getting more than $400 worth of value out of it in just one year alone, it’s certainly worth it.
5x Miles on All Other Purchases in your first year
For example, if you spend $10,000 on your card in a year, you’ll earn 5,000 bonus miles. 5x miles also apply for cashback redemptions and everything else.
In other words, you can use your card for every purchase. And get up to 5x miles for each one—on everything!
A completely new way of thinking about credit cards where using it actually pays off in a big way. It takes an impressive rewards program and raises it to a whole new level by increasing your rewards rate from 1% back on all purchases to 5% back on all purchases in your first year!
Does EastWest Bank have installment benefits?
The dolce vita titanium credit card offers a couple of benefits that could come in handy if you’re looking for an installment plan.
The first is a free 0% intro APR on all purchases and balance transfers for 15 months, after which time your rate will be 16.99% – 24.99% Variable (based on your creditworthiness).
The second installment benefit is that you can transfer your balances as often as once per month and never pay a fee.
On top of these already great benefits, you can also get up to $100 cashback after making your first five payments on time (via ACH deposit into an eligible checking or savings account).
Can I waive the annual fee EastWest?
It’s not an option. When you sign up for an EastWest credit card, you agree to pay that year’s fee in advance.
Your annual fee won’t be charged again until your next anniversary date rolls around, but that doesn’t mean you can ever cancel it.
If you do, your account will be terminated and any negative balance will become due immediately. Always pay off your balance in full every month so that you avoid unnecessary interest charges and fees. (Source: MyFico)
