But what do you do when your Android camera’s black screen pops up, and you realize that even though your phone still takes pictures, it’s impossible to view them?

How to Fix Your Android Camera Black Screen
Below are easy steps to fixing Your Android Camera Black Screen problem:
Restart your phone
If you see a black screen on your phone and your camera app isn’t responding, first try restarting your phone.
If you have a case or cover for your phone, check that it doesn’t block access to the power button. A loose case may prevent you from being able to force restart your device if it becomes unresponsive.
Press and hold down your power button for about 10 seconds and then let go. Next, press and hold down both of your volume buttons (or just one if you don’t have a second one) until an Android appears onscreen.
Clear your apps’ cache
Clearing your cache can help with just about any app on your phone, but it’s particularly useful for those that take pictures.
Just like you have to clear your browser history sometimes, clearing your phone’s camera app’s cache is a good idea if it isn’t working properly or if you notice decreased performance when using it.
To do so, go into Settings > Apps > [Select App] > Storage (or similar option) and select Clear Cache. Be sure to select clear all or else you’ll lose important data stored in there. You’ll want to do a soft reset once done.
Take out your SD card and move it back in again

To do so, go into settings by tapping on Apps then swipe over until you see Storage. Next, tap on SD Card, then choose Unmount.
Afterward, take out your SD card before trying to turn your camera back on. Be sure not to pull out any cables while it’s unmounted—just grab the SD card itself.
Once you’ve moved it in and out of its slot again, try turning your camera back on.
Make sure you are using the latest software updates
We’ve all heard it before—it’s always a good idea to keep your software up-to-date. But did you know that even small OS updates can have a huge impact on battery life?
Make sure you are updating your phone when prompted by Google.
Additionally, if an update is available, but isn’t required, make sure you download and install it anyway. Small fixes can help fix bugs that tend to suck away at battery life over time.
Upgrade your apps’ versions
This will usually solve your black screen problem. Make sure your apps are updated, then try using them again.
To update an app, open it, then tap its menu button (looks like three dots). Tap My apps & games, then tap on each app and tap Update.
You can also go to Google Play and tap My apps & games at the top of your screen to check for updates there.
Some app updates don’t work perfectly right away, so if you run into a black screen issue with an app that’s been recently updated, just try updating it again a few days later; some problems take time to get worked out.
Start uninstalling other applications
Most of us have an ever-growing list of apps on our phones. Some are downloaded because they’re great, others were free and we didn’t want to miss out, and still more were simply pre-installed.
